  2. Hey there,
I discovered your feed on instagram by accident and I love it. Your food looks great. I love that you tackle both simple and complex recipes. I have been vegan for 8 years and I love to cook. The challenging part is that cooking well on a regular basis takes time. I make healthy food a priority but it’s still a challenge. Obviously though you are finding time to cook intricate meals, photograph them, and write about them on a blog. Oh yeah, and your studying medicine! How do you do it? Any tips?

    1. Hi! Thanks for your kind words! The majority of my recipes on here are from my summer break before starting med school. I don’t have nearly enough time to test and write recipes anymore, which is why I’ve only been posting about once per month on here. As for cooking, I definitely force myself to make time to cook. I try to use my time wisely and I avoid things like watching tv which gives me more time to enjoy the process. It’s also become a great stress reliever and clearly one of my greatest passions. I’ve found that no matter how busy I am, I can always cut out less essential things in my day and make more time to cook. It’s definitely a challenge, but by forcing myself to do so I’ve found many ways to make the process more efficient. I’ve also gotten better at making meal plans for the week so I shop for groceries more efficiently as well. I guess it just comes with practice!

I’ve noticed while reading all the ingredients that u don’t use onions and garlic in ur food (works great for me as I don’t eat onion/garlic) but out of curiosity wanted to know why u don’t use those ingredients?

  6. Your blog is truly inspirational! It’s so difficult to try to make vegan recipes that are OG free/Swaminarayan friendly and you have inspired me to experiment with flavors left and right. Thanks for all your posts and hardwork Sheil!
